I can only point to the league results since Moyes joined, and then compare to Bilic's last days and most of BFS' days.

Last 8 games........4 wins, 3 draws, 1 (very annoying) loss. We've also played against City, Arse, Chel and Tot and got 5/12 that could have been 7 or 9 points.

Then, good wins against Stoke and Huddersfield.

With Bilic, we were rudderless and going nowhere. With BFS, drab, shitty hoof football. At least with Moyes we seem to have a few plans.

Unless we are behind I don't think he'll use many. He already stated he expects every player to be able to play 90 minutes

I'm certainly also warming to him. I do wish he'd use up all the subs more often, but that's a minor complaint.

I also like how close he and pearce seem to be working. They are constantly talking and discussing stuff, which firstly, we didn't see much of from bilic and his guys, and secondly, is surprising that he's not talking to Irvine and mckinley more instead, given he's worked with them a lot more.

Seems to be working well.

I wasn’t impressed when we signed him as I thought he was a spent force. However, i’m More than happy with how he has turned things around. When he was manager of Everton I always begrudgingly admired him as they always seemed to turn us over at our place and he had the measure of us, tactically.

That said, I am now very happy that he has got us up and running and I hope that he is signed permanently. I enjoyed Bilic’s first season, who didn’t? But he was totally out of his depth in the end. I also didn’t like the stories coming out of the training ground about his slackness and matiness with the players. At least Moyes is old school and has shown everyone who is boss.

The football is ultra negative.

Ah, so 15 goals in 6 league games is ultra negative, then?

You should hear what Everton are saying about Allardyce, they’d bite your arm off to have Moyes back over BFS

I admired Everton back in the Moyes days, were always the best team outside of the top six

Definitely not as bad as Allardyce or Pulis, but he's in the same ball park

I don't recall Everton being particularly negative.

if we were offered a swap with allardyce in 2013 i reckon 95% on here would have pulled arms off for it.

He did well yesterday, but he is not the manager I want. The football is ultra negative and I’m fucked if I want to watch that for the next 12 months.

Re: I’m quite optimistic about Moyes now... a moving forward with David thread.
It's also well worth noting that, since Moyes took the helm, many of the players look significantly fitter, more confident & upped their game:-

Arnautovic
Noble
Rice
Obiang
Lanzini
Masuaka
Adrian

A few appear to have gone backwards:-
Antonio
Reid
Kouyate
Hernandez

Perhaps they're poor trainers or unable to get properly fit. Either way you kind of get the impression that Moyes doesn't rate them too highly

Most of the others have neither progressed nor got any worse

It does seem he's been prepared to give everyone a fair crack of the whip, & now knows which players he's going to persevere with & which players he wants to move on

Re: I’m quite optimistic about Moyes now... a moving forward with David thread.
I was disappointed and negative about Moyes appointment.

But as others have said, what a turn about in a short time.

Moyes (and his backroom team) have made an impact on the players physically and mentally.

Now I'm also starting to see him as a tactician as well.

Of course, we're West Ham, so anything can happen between now and the end of the season. But whatever happens, he has gone up in my estimation significantly.
